The 'HORNS LODGE' is a traditional historic rural English public house, which has been in this location for about 200 years.
The inn was one of a string of coaching inns on the London to Brighton postal service route. A horn was carried on each coach which was sounded to herald the arrival of the post.
Hence the name , 'HORNS LODGE'.

New Bar opening hours are :-
Weekdays 11.30am - 2.30pm and 5.30pm - 11.00pm
Saturday all day 11.30am - 11.00pm, Sunday all day 12 -10.30pm.

Restaurant closed currently Tuesday:- Kitchen open Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat 12.00 - 2.00 and 6.00 -9.00. Sunday 12.00 -3.00 and 6.00- 9.00
 

Conveniently positioned on the A275, the Horns Lodge is close to the towns of Lewes, Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath, with Brighton only a 20 minute drive away. The pub is also near to Sheffield Park Gardens (National Trust) the Bluebell Railway,
Mc Beans Orchid House and the Chailey Commons (excellent walking country). Glyndebourne, Plumpton Racecourse and Plumpton Agricultural College and the Universities of Brighton and Sussex are within easy reach.
